So the idea of creating my own story came to mind, something that would be visually inspiring to me and allow me to incorporate textiles into a children's story of my own.
furthermore another train of though i had during this time while going to see the new designers textile exhibition in london
(If you want to check out next years! here is the link --> http://www.newdesigners.com it was amazing. and very helpful in my idea development.)
this made me think about the area that i would like to target with my ideas, and i felt that targeting young children's would allow me to use my imagination a bit more freely and that creating a story aimed for children would allow me many different areas to branch off with while using the story as a central narrative.
fortunately there wasn't many textile artist at the exhibition allowing me to think that this area hasn't been throughly investigated yet, but the unfortunate part of that was due this only being a small area i wasn't able to get much inspiration from the experience.
I also want to use this time to get out of my comfort zone and try something new, as i see myself very much interested in digital print, and print in general i felt while looking at recent graduate work that print is something heavily present in my generation of designers, and maybe if i tried something new that i will be able to enjoy the new experience as a whole as I've always been fascinated with the idea of illustration, but also get myself to try new and exciting techniques and breath new life to my own practice.
