started taking the shapes that i photographed and research at the beginning of my project and started to layer on shapes and patterns, trying to respond to the folk art seen before.. i then tried creating my own layers to create patterns to layer over the pre existing shapes.

found shapes in natural objects and landscapes.
i did some primary research into what shapes i could use for my own patterns and designs.
i want to be able to take inspiriting from the natural shapes that i photographs and create my own pattern from them taking inspiration from the folk art i had research beforehand.

future past. research
i chose the brief future past, and chose to look into the different ways specific countries approached arts and craft;
one of the thing i want to specifically look into in Swedish folk art, this has been my favourite to research as i loved the simplicity and colour that goes into the patterns seen traditionally in their crafts.
i also researched into other traditional works of art from other countries;
Chinese; (i really liked the colour choices that the Chinese used in their crafts.)
mexican art tended to be a lot brighter clashing colours, mainly depicting skulls and flowers;
