Repetition of an Object.

i wanted to look into the idea of the repetition of an object.. and how this object over time becomes more and more used.

digital work

Digital workshop

Some of the samples from my digital workshop. we started out creating our own paintbrushes, i felt this fitted perfectly into my project as i wanted to create marks that after using them in a repetitive motion to created unique patterns, i also wanted to use text in my work.

while created this piece below.. i wanted to create a repetitive pattern but change a small part of it like the colour of the rain drops.

Singular and Repetition.

singular and repetition

rep·e·ti·tion

noun

the act of repeatingrepeated  action, performance, production, or presentation.
repeated  utterance; reiteration.
something made by or resulting from repeating.
a reproduction, copy, or replica.

i started out with some primary research i wanted to keep to natural aspects looking into finding repetition in the natural landscape i also used people to bring in the singular aspects of my project. The photo below is one of my favourites due to the lighting and the way the silhouettes draw your attention to the centre of the photograph.
giving a singular focus in the photo..

i also wanted to catch the repetitive movement and motion in the water, i particularly liked the ripples created and captured, i played around with the effects in photoshop giving a colder look bring the blues and greens out more..

Another part i wanted to look at is looking at the idea of repetition creating a pattern. the marks in the sand created are from the repetitive motion of the waves i wanted to take the idea of repeatedly using one single movement to create a pattern.
