I am currently studying a foundation course in art and design. I chose to study art and design instead of textiles as I wanted to take my self out of my comfort zone and widen my skills as well as incorporate this into my textile work. I have always had an interest in textiles and am always looking to develop that interest further.

The reason i chose this course is the flexibility of the overall structure which will allow me to express my ideas freely. There will also be opportunities to gain experience in specialized areas to broaden my horizons and expertise. I am very excited to be apart of the many work shops on offer, which will allow me to experiment with new pieces. The tutor support would be extremely beneficial for flourishing artist.

developing from my freehand interior architectural drawings (Page 4) experimenting with adding text to my drawings.

Given a certain word taking from a piece of text, i had to trying and create an image for that one word. i took the word 'used' in its literal term and enlarge the word, i also thought about how something that is 'used' is an object or word that is repeatedly used, so i played with the idea of repetition of the word and sewed it together with string giving it the look of falling apart.

Book project i did. i played around with creating an image for the title of the book and experimenting with the overall structure of the book. i then tried wrapping it with layers of its own pages, and then (seen in the third page) I Separated the pages to bulk out the overall book, it then spread out allowing it to stand on its own accord.
